If Blockbuster hits like Twilight, Harry Potter and any Marvel or DC Comics related films wouldn’t focused the production or in some cases the remakes about this topics, Hollywood would had to pay attention to indie film.

Oz: The Great and Powerful‘ is an upcoming 3D film based on the prequel from both the novel ‘The Wonderful Wizard of Oz‘ published in 1900 and the movie ‘The Wizard of Oz’ starred by Judy Garland in 1939.

The films tells the story about how the wizard of Oz arrived in Oz and became the ruler. And his relationships with the good and the wicked witches.

Michelle Williams as Glinda, the Witch of the North in ‘Oz: The Great and Powerful’

The movie is directed by Sam Raimi, same director from the Spiderman Trilogy (except for ‘The Amazing Spiderman’). It is starred by James Franco as Oz, Mila Kunis as Theodora (The Witch of the West), Rachel Weisz as Evanora (The Witch of the East) and Michelle Williams as Glinda (The Witch of the North).

NOTE: You can discover which will be the wicked witch by remembering 1939 movie.
