Trank is known for directing his first feature movie, the 2012 Twentieth Century Fox film, Chronicle (2012).

At the moment there are no details on the film, most fans just want they skip the whole origin story. I for one like them, but it would be great if they picked up a great Fantastic Four story arc with the characters already established as superheroes. The new Fantastic Four film will feature an entirely new cast in the roles of the Invisible Woman, the Thing, Mister Fantastic and the Human Torch.

In other news Fox also announced that The WolverineX-Men: Days of Future PastDawn of the Planet of the Apes and Percy Jackson: Sea of Monsters will all be released in 3D, but that shouldn’t come as any surprise to you.

The movie it now titled THE FANTASTIC FOUR, fans can expect to see Reed Richards, Susan Storm, Johnny Storm, and Ben Grimm return to cinemas on March 6th, 2015.

Lee Pace Will Audition for the role Star-Lord in Guardians of the Galaxy

Last week the names of eight actors that are auditioning for the lead role of Peter Quill a.k.a Star-Lord in Marvel’s new franchise Guardians of the Galaxy. Among the names is the actor Lee Pace (The Hobbit films, The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 2, and tv series Pushing Daisies). This is what Pace had to say about the script and the character, “I go in on Monday to meet them all and audition for it, so wish me luck. I’m very excited about it. The script is great. The character is a lot of fun. I have been [reading up on Star-Lord]. You want to know what you’re doing. The character is a lot of fun. I hope it works out.

Apparently the character, Peter Quill, is the main protagonist of the film. Raised on Earth, Quill learns that his father was from outer space and is drawn into an inter galactic conflict that eventually makes him becoming the leader of the Guardians of the Galaxy.

Among other contenders for the role are Joel Edgerton (Warrior, The Thing, Zero Dark Thirty), Garrett Hedlund (TRON: Legacy), Jack Huston (Boardwalk Empire), James Marsden (Cyclops, X-Men), Eddie Redmayne (My Week with Marilyn), Jim Sturgess (Cloud Atlas) and Sullivan Stapleton (Animal Kingdom).

The movie would also include the team’s roster are the characters Drax the Destroyer, Groot, Rocket Racoon and Gamora. Stay tune for more casting details on those roles as they emerge.
Guardians of the Galaxy is set to be released on August 1, 2014.

Star-Lord is a master strategist and problem solver who is also an expert in hand to hand combat, also he is well versed in the use of various human and alien firearms, battle techniques and has an extensive knowledge on various alien customs, societies and cultures.

As Star-Lord, Peter Quill wears a suit that grants augmented strength, durability along with the ability to travel through space. Star-Lord also shares a psychic link with his sentient space vessel, “Ship.”

Hugh Jackman Already in Talks for X-Men: Days of Future Past

It shouldn’t be a surprise that Hugh Jackman is already in negotiations to reprise his role as the Canadian with Adamantium claws in Bryan Singer’s X-Men: Days of Future Past. Jackman will get the deal he wants since he IS Wolverine, and officially sign on the film. So far the Australian actor has been in every X-Men film.

After Bryan Singer announced, through his Twitter account, that Patrick Stewart and Ian McKellen were confirmed to reprise their roles as Professor Charles Xavier and Magneto/ Eric Lensherr along with their younger counterparts James McAvoy and Michael Fassbender (Xavier and Eric Lensherr in X Men First Class). It’s already a promising cast, Singer is reaching to several other cast members, hope they get Taylor Kitsch to reprise his role as Gambit.

The film is based on 1981 issue of Uncanny X-Men which came from writer Chris Claremont and artists John Byrne and Terry Austin. The story is set in an alternate future where mutant survivors are hunted and thrown in concentration camps, Sentinels are patrolling America, and most of the X-Men have been hunted down and killed. The present day X-Men are forced to stop a significant event from unfolding in order to keep that future from happening.

Jackman, who recently wrapped production of director James Mangold‘s ”The Wolverine,” would join with other confirmed returning stars such as James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender, Jennifer Lawrence and Nicholas Hoult. “X-Men: Days of Future Past” opens July 18, 2014.

Thank You Russell Crowe, Sincerely Yours Hugh Jackman

Australia, home of the koalas, kangaroos and Crocodile Dundee. It is also the home of many actors now dedicated to american film industry. Nicole Kidman, Chris Hemsworth, Eric Bana, Naomi Watts, Hugo Weaving among many others.

Hugh Jackman as Xmen ‘Wolverine.’

Since most commercial films take place on the United States it’s only logical that a high percent of the movies cast are American, so taking this into account, it becomes perfectly natural when you find out actors belonging to specific nationalities and ask yourself, do they really get along?

Well I can’t speak for all of them, but I sure can give one example. Russell Crowe – Hugh Jackman. In an interview to EW, Jackman told that in the past few years, they have become really good pals, they got to know each other very well and the most important is that Russell Crowe gave meaningful advices in the turning moments of his life..

“Support” is what according to Hugh Jackman, he has received from ‘Les Miserables’ co-star Russell Crowe. Jackman is thankful for all the good will sent but he is more thankful for all the movie roles Crowe rejected. Russell Crowe was the one who recommended producers to consider Hugh Jackman in the roles of ‘Wolverine’ in ‘Xmen’ and ‘Drover’ in ‘Australia’.

Now they will be joining for the first time in the adaptation of the successful stage musical ‘Les Miserables.’

Crossbones ‘Spoiler’ Will Survive Captain America 2 The Winter Soldier

A couple of weeks ago Frank Grillo was portraying the villain Crossbones in the sequel of Captain America, now it has been confirmed that the character actor will make an appearance in The Avengers 2.

The host of the Matthew Aaron Show reported that Grillo is confirmed to play Crossbones in three movies of Marvel Studios as well, the first one being Captain America: The Winter Soldier, followed by the Avengers 2 and finally Captain America 3. If this is true, and Crossbones appears in The Avengers sequel it doesn’t mean he’ll be the main villain, who’s rumored to be the Mad Titan Thanos.

In the comics story arc of House of M, Crossbones was a member of the Masters of Evil, which was led by The Hood. The Hood eventually went on to become a big part of Brian Michael Bendis’ Avengers run, and interestingly enough, sought the Infinity Gems, which have been rumored to play a part in the Marvel Studios movies with mention of Thanos. Along with the apparent Roger Wardell Marvel Studios Twitter scooper who also informed that the Masters of Evil would be featured in The Avengers 2.

Captain America: The Winter Soldier has a fair number actors reprising their roles in the film, though some are coming from other features. Sebastian Stan will come back after the first as Bucky Barnes, which is what the whole Winter Soldier angle is about, while some of the secondary stars of other films that had larger roles in The Avengers will be here, which makes sense as Captain America works with S.H.I.E.L.D. The recurring cast includes Samuel L. Jackson as Nick Fury, Scarlett Johansson as Black Widow and Cobie Smulders as Maria Hill who are all confirmed to be appearing in the new film.

The Marvel movie is being directed by Anthony and Joe Russo with an April 4, 2014 release date. The Avengers 2 assembles on May 1, 2015.

Could Iron Man Wander into Space with The Guardians of the Galaxy?

Apparently there’s a rumor going on that Marvel wants Robert Downey Jr. to reprise his role as Iron Man in the Guardians of the Galaxy movie. This interesting news came first from comicbook.com, but that’s it, and it’s still a rumor without confirmation.

Another hint is that during the New York Comic Con Marvel revealed the cover of the new Guardians of the Galaxy graphic novel, and Iron Man was seen as part of the group. Needless to say that many people started to especulate that the flamboyant billionaire Tony Stark (RDJ) could be in the deep space film. However Robert Downey Jr. still has to sign a new contract with Marvel, Iron Man 3 is his last film under contract.

Here is a tease of Iron Man meeting with the Guardians… you be the judge.

This is what the revealing article of comicbook.com had to say:

While we’re unsure if this connects, a twitter account with the handle Roger Wardell has been known to tweet some Marvel Studios new before it has been actually announced. Before the New York Comic Con revelation of Iron Man appearing in the new Guardians of the Galaxy comic book, Wardell tweeted, “Inside News: Remember that the Guardians of the Galaxy banner was only concept art, so that may not be the final roster of the team.”

“In other tweets, Wardell has suggested that Iron Man 3 underwent a last minute rewrite particularly in the film’s third act and that Iron Man 3 will feature a mid credits scene and a post credits scene. Our sources aren’t familiar with a rewrite or how many in credits scenes there are in Iron Man 3, but if Wardell is correct, then here’s a little bit of speculation.

Whose Who in Iron Man 3?

Marvel recently released a new shot of Iron Man 3‘s main villain The Mandarin, portrayed by Oscar-winner Ben Kingsley. The third installment of the Iron Man franchise is being directed by Shane Black, best known for his work in Kiss Kiss Bang Bang.

Robert Downey Jr.  will reprise his role of billionaire industrialist-turned-Earth’s Mightiest Hero Tony Stark, as well as Gwyneth Paltrow (Pepper Potts), Don Cheadle (James ‘Rhodey’ Rhodes) and Jon Favreau (Happy Hogan) who will be returning for this latest adventure.

The cast includes new additions like Guy Pearce as Aldrich Killian, a Geneticist at Futurepham and creator of the Extremis nanotechnology, who apparently used the resources of Mandarin  to create a terrorist army.

James Badge Dale will portray Eric Savin, which leads us to the possibility of seeing cyborg-action in Iron Man 3. In the Marvel comics, Savin was turned into the ravenous cyborg Coldblood-7 after stepping into a land mine.

Rebeca Hall has stepped into the lead role of Dr. Maya Hansen in Iron Man 3, Dr. Hansen helps develop the Extremis nanotechnology with Dr. Killian (Pearce), the scientist is also a former flame of Tony Stark’s past. Previously Jessica Chastain was going to portray Dr Hansen, but she left the film.
