Colin Farrell Joins World Aids Day Campaign

World AIDS Day is observed on December 1, every year and is dedicated for raising awareness on AIDS disease.  Many artists have collaborated with the ONE.org project raising their voice for the prevention of the disease.

Actor Colin Farrell on the “It Starts With Me” Campaign for World AIDS Day

Via a Youtube video, Irish actor Colin Farrell remembered for his villain role in comic based film Daredevil has borrowed his voice for the AIDS campaign named “It Startes With Me” and organized by ONE.org. The organization founded by U2 leading singer and philanthropist Bono, states the message against contagion and pro prevention.

“It’s not an African disease, it’s not an American disease. It’s not a disease of ay country, any region, any continent or any sexuality, gay or straight. It’s just a human disease that has taken so much life and continue to do so. It doesn’t have to be that way.” Colin Farrell

The actor joins a list of artists and personalities like Zoe Saldana, Kellan Lutz, DJ Tiesto and Perez Hilton. Along side the celebrities, the advice of several HIV patients is presented in the campaign video.

Nowadays, there are about 500 million africans who are HIV positive, unfortunately giving the region a 42-years-old of life expectancy.


Tom Hanks as Walt Disney

The Oscar-winning actor Tom Hanks in the role of Walt Disney in a movie titled “Saving Mr. Banks’.

The premiere is scheduled for December 2013. The film tells how Disney seeks to persuade the writer Pamela Lyndon Travers (PL Travers), author of Mary Poppins’ book to give him the legal rights of her book written in 1934.

The film is directed by John Lee Hancock and starring for Colin Farrell, Paul Giamatti, Bradley Whitford and Jason Schwartzman.
