We Found Love with Lindsey Stirling

It has been 3 months since I discovered the talent of Lindsey Stirling, or how i called her then, the amazing “zelda” girl, well she is a Youtube star whose videos keep  on impressing the minds of her followers. Superman has his strenght, Spiderman his spider-sense, Wolverine his ability of not dying (I suppose) and Lindsey has her hands and her violin. With her inseparable friend she has performed, recorded and uploaded videos playing themes from Zelda: Ocarina of the Time, Lord of the Rings Medley, Phantom of the Opera, and also covering Bruno Mars Grenade and Nicki Minaj Starships, among others.

For me, the most inspiring video she has posted is the cover from Rihanna’s awarded hit, “We found love”. I have not read the lyrics from Rihanna because her video didn’t tell me much. When the music video of the Barbadian singer first appeared I thought “Mmm ok another song about having sex in a car while been totally wasted and high, and calling it LOVE” and I don’t think I am way far from the truth. It was another hook abussive pop song, but it wasn’t the same with Lindsey.

Her video and her version of the song, made me read the lyrics, line by line and understand it, finding the meaning of looking for love in place when the lack of economic resources is daily life. The video show us the beauty of Africa, the beauty of teaching, the inner beauty of the human being. The way such pop and heartless song can turn into a comprehension and caring anthem, by the hand of beautiful voice such Alisha Popat and the talented hand of Lindsey Stirling.

Here is the video. Warning you can become an addict of Lindsey.

Alfredo Viteri is a 24 years old IIG. He thinks he’s an Editor, a Web Designer, an Author, a Comedian, an Actor, an Executive Producer, a Critic, a Host. Now he is writing about showbiz, Hollywood, music and beyond. Don’t know why I’m writing in third person if I’m the one writing it.
