The music video for Nicki Minaj latest single ‘Freedom‘ is finally here. The video directed by Colbin Tilley shows the rapper as a vulnerable queen fighting for her voice and justifying her decisions.
The video began with black and white shots, and Nicki’s monologue about ‘them’ and about Jesus while wearing a trendy wire crown. Pictures of paths, railroads, beached boat, stairs, a falcon and Nicki Minaj with a very black hair, rapping right next to them.
When Nicki starts a very sensible chorus about freedom and misunderstanding of other people reactions, her hair became platinum white, the falcon take off. The photography is remarkable in this video, the landscaping is well chosen for a music video about freedom and grey.
The second verse, is the queen verse. Nicki presented sitting in a throne while rapping her monologues get mixed with shots of her, standing up dressed up like a golden queen.
During the next part of the video, the black and white theme will be behind, and the color settings will start to shine till the end of the movie when you’ll see the same stairs that were shown at the beginning.
